I'll admit it...I got this book just for the name pun. Claire Wiche...
It made me laugh when I saw it on Amazon, and since it was free...well, I figured it wouldn't hurt to read it.
I don't generally like stories about demons and angels, but this book wasn't too bad. A lot of books that cast angels and demons tend to get preachy, but Rest for the Wicked was just a story. The characters were based on religious mythology, but it wasn't a religious book, I guess is what I'm trying to say with that.
The book could be a bit confusing at times, but I understand enough about the subject matter to be able to work my way through it. There's also a handy glossary at the back of the book, to explain terms you may not understand. It wasn't one of those long, boring glossaries, either. Dean provided just enough information to let you know what she meant, while keeping the writing light and humorous.
I'm definitely planning on reading the rest of the series.
